BPSC Age Limit for Various Exams

The age limit depends on the exam and the category of the candidate. Below are the age criteria for the most common BPSC exams:

BPSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE)

1. General Category (Male):

• Minimum Age: 20, 21, or 22 years (depending on the post).

• Maximum Age: 37 years.

2. General Category (Female):

• Maximum Age: 40 years.

3. Backward Classes (BC) & Economically Weaker Sections (EWS):

• Male: Maximum Age: 40 years.

• Female: Maximum Age: 40 years.

4. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST):

• Maximum Age: 42 years (both male and female).

5. Persons with Disabilities (PwD):

• Maximum Age: 47 years.

BPSC School Teacher Exam (TRE)

• General Category: 21 to 37 years.

• OBC/EWS: 21 to 40 years.

• SC/ST: 21 to 42 years.

• Female (General/OBC/SC/ST): Upper Age Limit: 40 years.

BPSC Assistant (Preliminary Exam)

• General Category: 21 to 37 years.

• OBC/EWS: 21 to 40 years.

• SC/ST: 21 to 42 years.

BPSC Assistant Professor Exam

• Maximum Age: 45 years for General Category.

• Relaxation as per government norms for reserved categories.

Age Calculation for BPSC Exams

The cutoff date for calculating age is usually August 1 of the year of notification. For example:

• For BPSC 70th Exam, the age is calculated as of August 1, 2024.
